What is OrpheumKids?
Co-Produced by Foxboro mothers; Colleen Brightman and Lesleyann Foster, in conjunction with Bay Colony Productions at The Orpheum Theatre, we are proud to introduce our OrpheumKids program to you!
A program designed to help parents find wonderful and affordable programs and events to do with their children while supporting a local community arts organization. OrpheumKids will include carefully selected talented musical performances, educational events, quality programs and other entertainment.

Jim West Productions: DINOSAURS
Thursday, November 12th at 9:30am
Live on Stage! Nationally acclaimed puppeteer Jim West and Fossil, the dinosaur detective, mix fun and facts in this colossal show inspired by everyoneÕs favorite prehistoric creatures. Students will travel from the present to the past as puppeteers bring to life a Tyranno-saurus Rex, share a shadow tale of an Overaptor and introduce audiences to a little Brachiosaurus. Mozart, Beethoven, Mahler, Stravinsky and Prokofiev provide the rich musical score.

Jigsaw Jones: The Case of the Class Clown

Live on Stage! An ArtsPower's Musical production - Athena Lorenzo has been slimed and she doesn't think it's very funny. Someone in Ms. Gleason's class is playing practical jokes. Theodore ÒJigsawÓ Jones claims to be the very first detective in the whole school. It's up to Jigsaw and his friend Mila to investigate the sliming and track down the class clown. This could be their stickiest case yet!

Harriet Tubman's Freedom Train

Live on Stage! A Theaterworks USA Musical Production - Freedom Train vividly tells the story of Harriet Tubman and her mission to free her people from slavery. It chronologically portrays Harriet's highs and lows on the Underground Railroad. After freeing herself from the pain and bondage of slavery, Harriet embraces her calling and makes it her will to go back to the South and free as many slave as she possibly can. As her journey continues she becomes known as Moses.... check out the play to see her journey come to life.

HARRY The Dirty Dog

Live on Stage! An ArtsPower Musical Production - Harry has everything a little white dog with black spots could want. ThereÕs just one problem: he hates taking baths. He hates them so much, in fact, that one morning he runs away. After a wonderful day spent playing in the dirt, Harry gets so grubby that he turns into a little black dog with white spotsÉand returns home to find that his family doesnÕt recognize him!

Junie B. Jones

Live on Stage! A Theaterworks USA Musical Production - Outspoken, precocious, lovable Junie B. Jones stars in a colorful, funny, fast-paced musical about new friends, new glasses, sugar cookies, the annual kickball tournament, and other various first-grade angst-ridden situations. Follow her adventures as she writes down the story of her life in her "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal." This new musical is based on four volumes in Barbara Park's Junie B. Jones series of books.

Live on Stage! A Theaterworks USA Musical Revue - Seven delightful stories come to life in Theatreworks USA's musical revue. Performed by a multi-talented cast, the stories represent various issues themes and ideas relevant to a broad and diverse audience of children.
Books featured in the show include:
* DIARY OF A WORM It's great to be a worm, but a wormy life also has its difficulties (like wiggling across a playground as human kids jump rope). Follow a worm's adventures as he writes about them all in his diary.
* FLUFFY THE CLASSROOM GUINEA PIG When Fluffy enters the Best Pets Contest, a pesky flea threatens to derail the entire competition.
* HORACE & MORRIS BUT MOSTLY DOLORES Three mice promise to be friends forever. But when Horace and Morris join the Mega-Mice Club (for boys only!), and Dolores becomes a Cheese Puff (for girls only!), what will happen to their friendship?
* HOW I BECAME A PIRATE Young Jeremy Jacob would love to sail away and be a pirate -- no vegetables, no manners, no bedtime, and no rules at all! He soon discovers that there's really no place like home.
* IF YOU GIVE A PIG A PANCAKE A bossy pig's demands frazzle a little girl in this hilarious lesson about cause-and-effect.
* LILLY'S BIG DAY Lilly's teacher is getting married, and she just knows that she'll be a great flower girl, despite the fact that Mr. Slinger has already asked his niece. When she suffers a bout of stage fright, it's up to Lilly to save the day!
* THE PAPER BAG PRINCESS When a ferocious dragon smashes Princess Elizabeth's castle, burns all her fancy clothes, and kidnaps the prince, she dons a paper bag and comes to the rescue. Target is the National Tour Sponsor of this production.
